Help IDing Mauser action
I picked up the pictured Mauser action at a pawn shop via Gunbroker.

What drew my attention to it was that it has the model 70 style trigger and the non military bottom metal.

It appears the markings have been machined off, if there ever was any.

The barrel that is on the action is from a Ruger M77 in 7 mag.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The bottom metal looks similar to the J C Higgins model 50. Looks like someone raided their spare parts box to assemble a frankenmauser. The important question is how does it shoot?

The trigger is a standard FN trigger, not model 70

Easy one; this is a Spanish 43 Mauser, La Caruna. Not the best made of the Mausers, note the rough machining, but they work. After all, they are a 98 Mauser; hard to mess up.
