Can you identify this Mauser action?
I am trying to identify whcih Mauser did this action come from. It is standard M98. The crest is ground off, and oddly there is serial number where usually Mod 98 is stamped on the side of receiver. Thank you.

I'm sorry to say but please don't spend any money on that. No matter what it is it will never be worth anything.

I'm really interested to see what this looks like, but this link doesn't show me any photos. Is there a secret handshake or something I should know?

I can't see it now either.
The Mod 98 was only found on the Kar98k.
Spanish rebuilds of German Gew98s had the serial number on the left side like yours; they scrubbed off all markings, and put the Spanish Air Force eagle on the ring.

It is definitely Spanish made; M43, not a rework; I now see the little LaCoruna proof marks on the bottom of the receiver.
Not the best quality but not unsafe.
