Bottom Metal
Any sources for bottom metal for 93-96 Mausers?
If not, do you know of any hinged floorplate -type that are practicable to modify?

Hopefully Pacific Tool & Gauge will begin to make some Mexican bottom metal which will fit. The price is quite attractive. Barring that, the early Spanish 93s were hinged. Possibly you might be able to locate one.

I was not aware either company made a bottom metal for the 93-96 mausers.

PTG has not started working on the oberndorf styled trigger guards, though they would be a good candidate should they produce one.

For my my .308 rifle built on a Yugo M24 action I used a swede 96 bottom metal to eliminate the capture screws. I have the idea to convert it to a lever release as opposed to a bow release.

I buy Mauser actions, parts, micrometers, tools, calipers, etc. Specifically looking for pre-WWII Mauser tools.

Yep there's a Spanish M93 hinged mag box in my shed.
