is this a good value?
I came upon a CZ 550 american in 270 yesterday that looked very good - clean, nice walnut - included CZ rings. Was the $450 a good price for it - looks brand new. I never see these rifles around here so I don't know. I thought I would call on the experience of this forum. It is a rifle for my 14 year old son and he loves it but I was just curious if I got a good one?

Thanks

Forget what you paid. If he likes it he will have confidence in it and then it is worth every pennySmiler

You did not do badly, I looked at walmart web site and a new one can be had for 525.00. I would rather go the route you did cause I would be bying site unseen and you never know what the wood will look like ...tj3006

Not only did you do good, I think you will be pleased with the accuracy of your new toy. I have two CZ 550's, a 9.3x62 and a 6.5x55 both are tack drivers to say the least.
