JOE MACK8x68 s
Does anyone shoot one? I found a LNIB Steyr safety bolt pro-hunter in the caliber. Can (and where) you get loaded ammunition, brass, and loading data? It'd really go along with my 8mm Rem Mag and .325WSM. Should I even bother? Thanks.

Big Bore Fan@Joe,
loaded ammo and brass you get only from RWS (3 different labos) and Norma (one labo). Reloading datas are in der RWS-reloading book and Hornady book. The 8x68 do everything, what the 8mm Rem and .325WSM do.

Hello Martin,
I've been reading alot about the cartridge and it looks like it'll do it all in North America and PG in Africa.
I can't find loaded ammo or brass online. Very little in the way of loading data, too. The Steyr is a very nice rifle but I'm probably going to have to pass on it.

Big Bore FanJoe,
here´s the RWS site you can ask about a distributor in the USA.
RWSI don´t but in the past, Midway did have ammo.

no, you shouldn't.
it will do absolutely nothing that your 8RM or .325 could do.

jaegerfrankIt was the standard cartridge for German hunters travelling the world in 60-90's before the 300 Mag's gained popularity. Flat shooting, powerful and very accurate. Factory ammunition from Norma with A-Frame will get you ready for nearly everything. A PH in the CAR told me taht it was popular for buffalo with FMJ even. Also very popular for monterias in Spain today.
