What kind of experience do you have with the 8x57jrs?
Available components for reloading?

Good caliber for the Ruger#1?

I shoot a .318" (8mm JR)bore Kennher. It is a lovely rifle built about 1910 or so. I use Woodleigh bullets and reloader 7. I know the Norm manual has detailed info on the round too. I use RWS brass, and keep loads in a reasonable range. With a scope mine shoots well under an inch if I do my part. I have thought about putting on up in a single shot too. But I opted for a Blaser K95. I am in the process of building a Ruger No3 switch barrel in 9,3x74R and .303 Brit. I looked the the 8x57 JRS for that project too
