Need BOLT for Remington 721 in 270.
I was wondering if there are any companies that makes a bolt for the 721 in 270 or know any sources? Tried online. Mainly 700's bolt. Friend of mine has this rifle and asked me if I'd be interested. I know nothing about this 721 or never had a 270. Only problem is NO BOLT. PLEASE HELP A FELLA OUT, THANK YOU.

First off the bolt doesn't have to be just for a 270.

Any bolt that fits the 06 head and length family of cartridges.

Should work just fine

Modify the stock inlet for the swept 700 bolt handle.
PT&G-Pacific Tool & Gauge in OR manufactures 1 & 2 piece bolts for 721/700's.
MidWay USA stocks some PT&G bolt assy's.

Keep'em in the X ring,

Mack Bros in Sturgis makes a nice bolt for the model 700 and it will work in your 721. mine 721 has a 700 bolt in it.

My 721 300 H&H has a stainless 700 bolt in it because the bolt nose rim tore off the old one.

Pacific Tool bought all of 'old' Remingtons' parts when they liquidated. They have Model 700 LA and SA bolts, for far less than ebay.

Yes, but you have to deal with PTG.

Over the past few months I have ordered several Rem 700 bolts, both long and short, and had no trouble. Doesn't mean that the next time won't be a disaster...... I just couldn't see paying a couple of hundred plus buying what I needed on Ebay. Place a "want to buy" add, and see what happens?
