A great majority of the long range hunting guys like and use the 300 grain SMK for hunting
Link?

Dr. LouWhat's the difference between the edge and 338 RUM to make it worth the hassel? Lou

The 338 Edge is the 300 RUM necked up with no other changes and give 6 to 8 more grains of powder capacity. Is this worth it? That is something that you will have to decide, for me I went with the 338 Lapua and I am glad I did

" The 338 Edge is simply a 300 Ultra Mag necked up to .338â€. This is a simple process requiring no more work than a standard .338 reload. "

RollinsBIt really isn't any hassle at all. Neck up the brass, load them and shoot.
Like jwp said, worth it or not is up to you. The Lapua has the advantage in brass for sure although I expect to get 8-10 loadings from my brass at least.
My accuracy load is mild and pushes the 300s to ~2840fps.

TrueblueI am getting 5 reloads max with Remington breass and my 338 EDGE. That is just fine with me for now. Very simple build to do, and accuracy in my rig is 0.30 MOA at 700 yards verified. I'd say it was worth it.
