<allen day>Re: Which 30/06 to buy?
If someone doesn't take Brad up on his offer, I'll be astounded!
A proven, extremely accurate, all-weather .30-06 at a fair price from a reliable, honest source doesn't come along just every day of the week.
I'll take a Model 70 Featherweight in .30-06 over any other make.

whtailtakerWell you are going to get a great calibre -
I bought my 30-06 greater then 30 years ago-
it is a MOSSBERG- i use only 180gr ammo to hunt with
the only thing i have had to have done is replace the scope- like any other rifle/gun/weapon you need to get several different loads [grains] and find out what the gun likes
my best shot using my 30-06 was one (1) shot one (1)Deer
ending up being at a range of 542 paces

[very open country]
I like my rifle alot
the latest rifle i have bought is a Winchester model 70 in 300 Win.Mag - looked at a lot of rifles just like the features on the Winchester- great safety, light weight, easy to handle, priced around $400 at wally world - also check ammo prices there was a big difference between them
good hunting
