i got 1 of the $189 special from midway and have started to try it out. my initial load was hornady 225's with h4895 and I'M getting 2" groups. I'd like 1.5" & have 215 sierra and 210 nosler bullets with rl19. I'm trying to use up some powders i don't use much of so varget,rl 15 & h4895 are available. Have any of you'll got any magic loads?

53.5gr of RL15 under the 210grNP is the "magic" load in my .338-06. You can also use 61gr RL19. Work up as usual, but these work well for me.

Any chance the Encore in 338-06 is still available from Midway for that price?

My rifle likes Varget and the 210 Nosler. Can't say my charge weight would apply, as mine is the AI variety, so is not a 'book' charge.
