I recently acquired a Win Model 70 in 308. Can anyone with a reference book please help with the year of manufacture. Serial # G 1288087.

I'm not sure of the date, but you might want to put "xxx" to replace the last 3 of your serial numbers for safety sake.

According to the result of a search on a link that was provided here, the YOM is 1976.
