Lightest 9,3x62 you have seen or Fired.?
Interested in hearing about the lighter weight 9,3x62 rifles youve come across or used.
I have seen relatively light opensighted 9,3x74 doubles,.... so just curiuos about light bolt versions of the 9,3cal....(even Whelens!)

458WinI have an original Husqvarna M-98 that weighs around 7 1/4# and my Pre-64 M-70 on a legend stock comes in around 7 1/2.
They are about right for a rifle that gets carried a lot.
Anyone who claims the 30-06 is ineffective has either not tried one, or is unwittingly commenting on their own marksmanship

N E 450 No2My Chaupis 9,3x74R double rifle weighs 7 1/4 lbs without the scope. I have hunted with and shot it a lot with the iron sights, I do not find the recoil a problem when hunting.
Also once upon a time I had a remington model 7 from the custom shop in 350 Rem Mag. I did not think it kicked bad at all.
However my little Blaser R 93 Tracker is a little bit of a thumper with factory 270 and 300gr loads. Do not notice it when hunting, but it is not fun to sight in.

Michael RobinsonMy Steyr-Mannlicher is 8.6 lbs. empty, but with a Leupold 2.5-8x32mm scope mounted in Talley bases and rings. It has a 23.6 inch barrel.
Its weight seems just about right to me.

mouse93Blaser R93 offroad tracker - 2.8kg = 6.17 lbs.
My Husky is a M98, weighs under 3kgs and is a dream to shoot even with heavy loads. The stock is not original though, the one it came with was awful.
Cewe;-a little OT maybe, but is it your Husky that has been displayed in Vapentidningen?
If so I must say it looks like aneat rifle!
Asti: Yeah that´s the one! The stock is from your Swedish stockmaker Jonny Boberg and it was finished by the grandmaster Boha of AR!
Very nice rifle, the mod. 640 is usually my favorite but that 98 is a tackdriver.
I kind of understood that. Again, nice rifle!
I have bought e couple of blanks from Johnny myself, he is a really nice guy and Boha seem to know what he is doing too....
