vegard_dino9.3*57, someone who use it?
Hello all
The good old 9.3*62 was and still is a great caliber here in Europe. Will do good tin Africa to, as it did back when it was made.
But, how about the smaller sister? The 9.3*57?
I know it was used a lot in Sweden for Moose hunting.
But, today? Anyone who have and use it?

Magnum Hunter1I have one I am working on some loads for now. I have not shot it yet but will soon. Mine is a Husky with a trim pistol grip and schnabel forend. It wears a Schmidt & Bender 1 1/4x-4x scope and I expect it will be rough on the local close cover whitetails.

z1rI use it and like it very much. Everything the .358 Winchester wanted to be.
I use AA2460 and the Prvi 285 grn to replicate fatory Norma loads. Does everything I ask it to. The Norma loads are good too. I must have a dozen 9,3x57's and they are all easy to load for and shoot well. Darn near as good as the 9,3x62 only a little easier to shoot.
I grew up shooting the .30-30 and the 9,3x57 is just a bigger .30-30. Know your limitations and it will do all you ask of it.

vegard_dinoThanks for the info.
Yes, it is not that far behind the *62.

Not much, same as the .30-30.

JpatI love the 9.3x57. A real pussy cat to shoot and hits w/ authority. I load 270gr Speer, 285gr GCCL, and 286gr partitions. Very low pressure round.
