Opinion on Birmingham Sporting Arms
I saw a really nice Birmingham Sporting Arms .308 bolt action for sale the other day. What is the general opinion? Sorry. No model number.

The Monarch/CF2 action was also marketed as the Herter's U9. They were a well-made action with Sako-like scope mounting dovetails (though not interchangeable with Sako, I believe).

Hi,
How do you know which of the models your rifle is? My uncle owns a mauser actioned BSA chambered for the .22 hornet....accurate and deadly for many small antelope.

I have a BSA mauser 98 actioned rifle in 270 winchester, has a trigger blocking safety, adjustable trigger, no thumb cut out and the ugliest "Modern" 1950's looking walnut stock. Now for the kicker...stamped on the top of the barrel is "JC Penney Corporation". This sucker is accurate though!

Here is a Royal (which was sold as a 'Hunter" in Canada) in .30-06

It has the smoothest action of any rifle I have ever owned.
