Tom SRemington Model 7
Since I cant find a Remington Titanium I'm considering getting a model 7 so those of you that have one whats the good and bad of this rifle?

vapodogFella I hunted with this fall had one....in .300 SAUM....nice rifle....a tad shorter....but in all sincerity not a lot lighter than a M-700 SA.
I'm considering one as well.....but in the CDL model. and in the .300 WSM chamber.
I have a Rem M-700 SA that could use a new #1 contour in .284 Win....IMO that would be preferable to the M-7.....I just haven't gone ahead with it.....IMO the M-7 is a fine rifle....but over estimated as the lightweight carbine it started out to be! IMO it's also overpriced but that's a lesser issue!

vapodogThe M-7 is available in the .350 Rem mag.....and that's worth considering if one likes the larger diameter bullets.....Not sure if it's also available in the 6.5 mag....

wasbeemanThey are nimble little rifles. They feel a bit light in the muzzle if you're also shooting standard 700s but it's not a real big deal.
My son made our longest shot on a mulie with one --the old 18.5" barrel-- in 7-08 with a 2x7 scope. 284 long steps. One shot with a 140gr NP or Grand Slam, I forget which.

clayman216They are very nice rifles when terrain is tough and weight is a factor. Fitted with a 1.5 - 5 scope , make a graet wood rifle for deer, etc.
I have shot at least one that will shoot sub MOA
( bedded & free floated ) I have shot targets out to 300 yards with consistanly good results.
The rifle is a ..308 win. It is too bad they dont make all models with irons , I like irons on all my hunting rifles.

I have the Model 7 in 7mm-08 with the Mannlicher stock and it's a great little rifle albeit not as light as you would think. It's the only pretty rifle I own. I also own a Savage Sierra carbine in 7mm-08 that I reach for most of the time and for accuracy, weight and durability and reliability, I prefer it to the Remington product hands down.

390ishi have a remington guide gun in 350mag. think a model 7 in 350 would be great.

N E 450 No2The Mod7's with the 18 and 20" barrels are one of my most favorite rifles.
I have shot them in 223, 243, 6mmRem, 7mm08, several 308's and a 350 Rem Mag form the Custom Shop.
I have shot several of the 308's on paper to 600 yards and to 800 yards on steel.
All of them have been very accurate.

mikethebearThe only one I ever had was the original with iron sights in 7mm-08. Sold it to a friend of mine who has used it for the last 15 years or so. It is his all-time favorite rifle and calibre.
