ovnyAsk about the sizes and 338 Winchester Magnum 338-06
Hi I have a Remington 700 caliber 338 Winchester Magnum and my question is: can you shoot the 338-06 in a 338 Winchester Magnum rifle?.
Greetings and happy holidays
Oscar.

ovnyHello, language problems and the translator

. I want to know if I can shoot 338-06 ammunition in my Remington 700 from 338 Winchester Magnum.
Thank you,
Oscar.
P.D:This question is simple curiosity because in Spain the caliber 338-06 is not marketed. Greetings

ovnyHello, now I see my mistake, I should have thought that the 338-06 is a case of 30.06, which he has expanded the mouth of the case to support a .338 caliber bullet.
Greetings,
Oscar.

muzzaThe 338-06 cartridge is the 30-06 case necked up to take a .338 projectile.
The 338 Winchester Magnum is an entirely differant cartridge , having a magnum - ie bigger - case head and needing a differant boltface to operate. The two are not interchangeable in any way.
