.338" 200nab vs. 210np
Has anyone compared the performance of the 200nab to the 210np on actual game? I've not seen a whole lot of terminal performance difference between the 225 nab and np. I'd like to work up a 200nab load because of the availability of the 200nbt for practice and coyotes. I know how well the 210 kills I just hope someone has been able to compare them.

I used the 210PT in my 340PDK wildcat. Taking a number of Hogs and elk. I switched to the 200AB and have had excellent results on the same game. It did close my groups up by almost .75" in my rifle. In my rilfe the 200bt and 200AB used the same charge and point of impact was withing .5". The 200AB is now the only bullet I use in my 340.

How did the AB's hold up on elk and how much penetration did you get typically? What ranges did you take game at? I can definitely get the AB's to shoot more accurately than the partitions.

Two elk I remember were a 4pt taken at about 50 yards. Pass through and took one step and dropped. Second was a nice 6pt at about 275 yds. Broke shoulder going in missed the heart but took out the lungs and stopped under the skin on the other side.He walked behind a tree so I'm not sure how quick he dropped. By the time I moved he was down. Nice mushroom I would say around 75-80% retention. Probably around 10-12 hogs in the 200# plus range.

I shoot nothing but accubonds in my wife's 7x57 and 280PDK(7mag velocity) She has taken 4 elk and an Oryx out to 275yds. I've taken elk, Kudu and hardebest out to 400yds or a touch more. I've never had an accubond failure. However, I have never pushed one to ultra mag type velocity.

I can't comment on the 210 PT's but the AB's gave full broadside penetration on my bull at 250yds using a 338-06 at 2850 MV.

I have worked loads up for the 200grNAB, but haven't hunted w/ it yet. WEtpack test look good though. The 210grNP in my 338-06 kills very well, big or small game, Duiker to elk & Zebra. I trust it, it shoots very well in my rifle. Except for cost, I don't see any advantage for me in switching.

Unless you already have a stash of them do not count on using 200 grain Ballistic Tips for practice and then switching to 200 grain Accubonds for hunting. The 200 grain Ballistic Tip has been discontinued.

Can't speak to the 200gr AB in 338 but can say the 200gr AB in 30-06 did very well for me on a NWT 6ft+ black bear. One shot, DRT death moan. Big bear for me.

And the accuracy in 25, 270, 6.8, lots of 30 cal offerings, has been great for me. Only cal that I've not had great accuracy with is the 35...but I'm still testing.

I just keep an eye on Shooters Pro Shop and when they have the 200accb on the second's list I purchase several hundred.

The 200gr BT is a great Elk bullet. It leaves big holes and kills them DRT, and will shoot under an inch with either H4350, or H4831. Of course, as previously mentioned the only way to get them now is to buy the BST's, or the grey tipped seconds when you can find them.

In my experience there is no terminal performance difference between the partitions and the accubonds....however the accubond has the advantage past 250yds due to a more aerodynamic profile and no battered tips. Its a shame for the BT to be discontinued as with the heavy jackets they made for pretty good bullets.

I shot all my plains game with the 338-06 and 200 grain Accubonds @ 2850 fps.

Kudu, warthog, impala, baboon and zebra all one shot kills.

At the moment I am useing 225 grain Interbonds @ 2700 fps. Also very good and cheaper.
