Can't be done in Warne QD bases and rings.
Distance from rear bridge to front bridge in Warne bases and rings is too great for the scope. I've mounted these scopes on Win M70 Stainless Classic and Safari Classic .375 H&Hs in Leupold and Talley QR mounts with no problem. Called Kimber and while the girl I spoke with was very pleasant she had no idea what I was talking about, she suggested higher rings. I don't want to go to a 3.5-10 or 1.5-5 scope, I dislike both.
Suggestions?

Send me a text tonight Buddy and I will send you a pic of what I have on mine.
Mine are Warne QD rings on Warne bases. I have an extension base on the front.
My scope is a Trijicon 3-9 X 40 though. It may be a smidge longer than a VX III 2.5-8 but not much and I think I used to have a VXIII 2.5-8 on mine before I went Trijicon.
