zhabaNosler custom 48
Hi Guys just wondering if anyone out there owns one of these and could give me an opinion as to if they are worth the money? I was thinking of getting one in either 308 or 300.cheers

BiebsZhaba, from what I understand, they are made on Howa actions. That being said, there's nothing wrong with a Howa action, but I don't know if I'd spend $2,500 for one. Skip the hype and get an actual Howa for about 1/3rd that price.

butchlambertLook into Shilen's new custom rifle. I'll try to get photos. They use a custom receiver.

SevensOr just go buy a Howa and put it in a fancy synthetic stock with an expensive scope and you're set. Been shooting a Howa 1500 for 8 years and it's a pretty darn good shooter, one inch groups or less if I do my part.
They're a great rifle, often overlooked.

I am reluctant to ever disagree with Biebs, as I respect his knowledge when it comes to custom guns.
However, I think the statement below pretty much sums things up concerning any comparisons between a Howa and Nosler Custom Grade 48...
quote:
....a comparison of the Nosler 48 to the Howa rifle is similar to that of a Porshe 911 to a Volkswagen Beetle. Their mechanical descriptions are very close, but in performance...not so close.
