Bo RichModel 673 .350
My 673 .350 Rem Mag. doesn't feed when loaded with three rounds in the magazine, and one in the chamber. When loaded as above the top round in the magazine "pops" out causing a jam. If, however I load three in the magazine, and run one cartridge in the chamber the gun fuctions well. When I first purchased the gun I couldn't get it to feed at all from the magazine. I sent it to a Rem. Authorized gunsmith, and that problem was corrected. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone has found feeding problems with their 673? Or peerhaps this is a isolated incident.

Bo RichThank you for your reply 6.5BR. I'm still hoping to hear from some folks who shoot the 673.

6.5BRI understood your question, I Do believe Rem Magnums will only hold 3 total, and there is not quite enough space to put 3 down, 1 up, if IIRC my 7mag long ago did that as well.

RJMI have a M600 and only load 3 in and then chamber. With the third in the magazine there is just not enough play in the magazine and things jam up.. A friend with a M7 KS had the same problem but only with factory ammo...his reloads fed fine. I have a friend with a M673 and will ask, but I believe he only puts three in and chambers.
As I have never fired more than two shots while hunting three is more than enough for me.

CCM DocI have a 673 in .350 Mag and can put three in the magazine and one in the chamber. I put the three in the magazine tip the barrel down and slip one into the chamber. I wrap the palm of my left hand around the stock near the bottom of the foor plate so my fingers rest on the cartridges in the magazine, push them down and slide the bolt forward. All feed just fine. Should be able to do the same with yours.

GaryVAMy 673 also holds 3 down + 1 in the chamber for 4 total. It feeds and functions fine.
