What kind of luck have you Gents had with your 9.3x57, 8mm, 30-06 and 9.3x62 potato guns?

BWW, I have a 270 model 9000. Does that count?

I have a commercial '96 husky from about 1934??... that is a 9,3x57.... ive taken several axis with it at up to about 100 yds.. it shoots to irons at that distance and is about a 2' gun with factory norma 286 softs... maybe a better shooter could get a little more accuracy from it,, but low recoil and easy to carry make it a favorite that I'll keep...

I have 9.3x62 that has been to RSA and Zim. Dead animals on the ground include Blk Wildebeest, Blue W Beast, Springbok, G Kudu, Sable and maybe a Cape Buff if Delta had not of left my Husky in Atlanta forever it seemed.
Have same rifle in 06 but have never fired it yet.
Shoot the normal 286 grn. stuff and critters fall dead on the other end. Softest recoiling 286 grn. anything I have ever shot. My 338 Win Mag Ruger knocks snot out of me.

Husqvarna stopped making guns over 40 years ago. A lot will depend on how well it has been cared for since it left the factory.
That said, I have had hundreds of them go through my hands, some I shot, most I did not.
My experience has been OK, some better than others but nothing hateful. I can not remember anyone I ever sold one to saying it was bad & many came back for more than one.

I guess they made rifles for roe bucks and hares as well

I know, I hear it all the time. Pea shooter, girls gun. But as far as accuracy goes, it's crazy good. Love the gun. Smoothest action I own.
I do have a 338-06AI for the bigger stuff.

I have a 9.3x62 Husqvarna barrel on a Model 98 Mauser action. Customized by Bud Duncan at Duncan's Gunworks in San Marcos CA. It's a death ray. So accurate and fun to shoot. Going to Lemco in June for eland, waterbuck, bushbuck, kudu etc. Beautiful rifle.

All three of the ones I have had (.30-06, 8x57, .358 Norma) shot right around an one to one and a half inch groups at 100 yards.

Are not they made with barrel twist for lighter weight bullets?

I have Husqvarna 1600 rifles in 6.5x55,30-06,8x57,9.3x62 and 358 Norma .I also have a Husq. 98 that started out as an 8x57 but has been re-chambered to 8mm-06 Ackley Imp. All will do an inch or less from 100 yds. I have found that in the 6.5 and the 8x57 both prefer heavier bullets (140 gr in 6.5 and 200 in the 8mm)for the best groups while the other shoot lighter and heavier bullets equally well.

Why would anyone want to shoot light bullets? Good news Snowman, thanks again.

wife is using a 46 in 9.3x57 and shooting great and good accuracy.

Many years ago I had one of their lightweights with the 20 inch barrel in .30-06. It is one one of my most favorite rifles I've ever had. Unfortunately I sold it while getting a divorce. It was plenty accurate, I didn't care back then to measure such things as long as it hit what I aimed at I was happy.
