It's a Shot Show special. I think these guns might have to be ordered now, with production based on orders. Wish I could afford one. Hope it's not a miss print on the 26" barrel.

If you really want one, I'd contact your dealer now to get this question answered. Otherwise you might miss out.

Ya, I wish they made an 06' length action.

Lamaris this on a short action?
i hope they aren't trying to duplicate the 257 they done on the short action,it is a featherweight though.
especially compared to my push feed in 7 ackley on the long action with the 24" barell.

SnellstromIt shows that it is a long action.
7x57 doesn't do it for me but take that 26" barrel and on a long action and ream it to a .284 Win and there you have something!

17 January 2013, 06:45
MileHighShooterIt almost has to be a misprint. Their website has been all over the place the last few weeks with calibers, prices, models and such. Last week they said they were bringing out the Featherweight in the "BRAND NEW" WSM and WSSM's for MSRP 304$
Weight doesn't match the other models for having a 26" barrel.
If you think every possible niche has been filled already, thank a wildcatter!

Pat BrennanFWIW, last year's Shot Show 257 Roberts was built on their long action.

45-70 shooterWhile I love the 7x57, I find it hard to get excited about any overweight model 70 when Kimber make several models in 7mm08.
While I love long barrels, a 26" barrel on a 7x57 is not needed, nor is a long action as with today's super powders and bullets. A 120 gr TSX @ 3100 fps will kill anything you would tackle with a 7x57/7mm08. How many Elk did JOC kill with a 270 using 130 gr unbonded cup & core bullets ?

I just like classic style rifles and cartridges. Think it would be cool to restock with pre-64 low and straight comb stock, add Lyman receiver sight and ramp front sight. Wish the actions were not so huge. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

45-70 shooterYeah I do too: 7x57 No 1a, four 300 H&Hs, 375 H&H, 450 #2 Nitro coming soon etc. But restocking a 70 is expensive and you still have an action that is way overkill for the 7x57.
Betcha if you asked nice, Cooper would build you a 7X57.

LJSMy dealer just ordered two from his distributor. The distributor has them in stock.

sourdough4426" barrel just seems to long for me. I'll stick with 22 or even 20 inches. Some would depend on the clambering.

LJSEd: You are correct. When the rifles arrived they were 257s. I guess that was last years show special.
