460 wby shooterJust ordered a Sako a7 Roughtech big game.
I just ordered a Sako a7 Roughtech big game in 7mm Rem mag. I intend on using this rifle as my go to hunting rifle for deer, antelope, and elk sized game. Anyone own one of these? What kind of accuracy have you gotten with it? What are your general thoughts on the rifle? This will be my first Sako I hope is as accurate as I have heard they are.
I think "roughtek" refers to the stock which is what is different about this gun. I have an A7 stainless synthetic in 270 that shoots around .75 in groups with reloads. I have never shot factory loads in it. The only gun I have that is more accurate is a Tikka T3 Hunter in 243.

Charlie78I have a Sako A7 in 7-08 it's the most accurate deer rifle that I own. I have loaded 120NBTs,140 Sierra hpbts, 140 Berger vld hunting bullets, 168 Berger Classic Hunters and 150 Nosler Ballistic tips, and every one shoots under 1 inch at 100 yds. The 140 Berger vld shoots 3 into one hole at 100yds, but they are loaded too long for the magazine.

Charlie78I have also loaded and shot 175 Hornady rnsp bullets under 1 inch at 100yds in this rifle. I really want to shoot a deer with this bullet, because I've never shot a deer with one and most of my shots are within 100yds.
