.284 Winchester?
Just wondering how many out there have a rifle in this chambering and also what they think of the cartridge itself?

Im after something a little different for using as a mountain rifle for goats.

I had a 284 win in the works until the new short 7MM came out. I would go with one of the WSM's now.

I have a pre-64 Winchester M-88 lever action.

More of a collector piece, but I take it out to the range every now and then. If I ws looking for a longrange lever gun, this would be my choice.

Im thinking of rebarelling a BSA 308 that I have. Just for something a little different.

I already have a 30/06, 6.5x55 and 25/06 so I was after something to slot in between the 6.5x55 and the 30/06 as a long range hitter in a short action. The 25/06 is a varmint rifle.
