This is a surprisingly difficult question to answer, because I have found only one 9.3mm bullet that I didn't like.

But, I did settle on one favorite, mostly because I bought lots of them and they perform excellently, even on brown bear - proven by myself and another by a friend.

The 285 gr Lapua Mega is currently my fovorite. It's accurate, and I trust it. But, I want to try some of the 250 gr Barmes TSX, and I have had excellent results with the Swift 250 gr. and 300 gr. North Fork offers two 9.3 bullets which would probably top the list of excellence. We are fortunate that there are lots of good 9.3 bullets to choose from.

250gr Rhinos have done the job quite well.

The 286gr Nosler Partition at just shy of 2,400 fps has done it for me. I get great accuracy and so far no complaints from deer, antelope or warthog.

I have to vote for the 286 grain Nosler Partition. At 2425 fps from my CZ 550 American it has taken deer, hogs, Warthog, Impala, Wildebeast, Kudu and Zebra with ease. No recovered projectiles.

Nosler Partition, 286 gr. Two of the local gun shops actually have them is stock!

286gr Nosler Partition @2424fps in my CZ 550 American is my number 1 choice.

250 grain A-Frame at about 2550 feet/sec.

Well, I've only used one bullet in my 9.3x62 to hunt with so my opinion is not based upon a lot of experience.

My game tally using the 286 gr Woodleigh RN in the 9.3x62:
two Kudu
one Gemsbok
one Impala
one Bushpig
two Warthog

That's not an extensive total, but I was very pleased with the performance of the 286 gr Woodleigh RN. All were one shot kills with complete penetration (which I prefer).

I like the 286grn Woodleigh in soft and solid.
These are great for Rabbits on up to Elephant.
If you don't mind a double load the 300grn Swift A Frame is another great bullet which shoots same point of impact as the Woodleighs and is great for Buffalo.
I have also experienced 258grn RWS H-Mantles and 293grn RWS TUG Bullets with good results but prefer the woodleigh and Swift A combo.
So far I have used the 286grn Woodliegh Bullets on;
Foxes
Pigs
Goats
Impala
Wart Hog
Kudu
Zebra
Hippo
Cape Buffalo and
lion.

RWS 19,0g TUG or Blaser 18,5g CDP - Ezra we didnt make it easier for you - huh? Perhaps you should ask wich one you should not choose ?

Here's another vote for the 286gr Nosler Partition. Worked great for me on several African plainsgame species.

Although I have killed a number of animals with the 286 Nosler Partition, I would also go with the 286 Woodleigh RNSP for one, all-round bullet. It will expand a bit more that the partition, but will not reach out quite as far. Kudude

We have killed over 50 head of game with the Barnes 250 X bullet. It and the 250 North Fork soft point are all one needs for anything short of dangerous stuff. Then either the North Fork CPS or FNS will do the deed. I have seen the 320 gr. Woodleigh for the 360#2 go end to end on a cape buffalo. It also is a great killer in soft and solid but a little slow if you sight your rifle for the 250gr. bullets.

Add another vote for the 286gr Nosler Partition moving at just under 2400 fps. I took 7 plains game animals this May in the Eastern Cape South Africa ranging from Springbuck to Kudu. All but one was a one shot kill, the other was the fault of the nut behind the trigger and it took two rounds.

For what animal?
In my country (deers and hogs -jabali-)I used Speer 270 gr and RWS 258 H-Mantel. Both excellent for this game.

I had very good luck with the 286 Nosler. The biggest animals were Zebra and Kudu--very impressive.

With the 9.3 I've taken a dozen plainsgame ranging from Impala to Zebra with 250gr North Forks. Excellent bullets and highly reommended.

I like the 286 North Fork, or as a backup the 286 Nosler partition.
