Golden Eagle Rifles
Does anyone know anything about these rifles, other than the wood and the fine high polish blue is absolute first rate? I stumbled across one in 25/06 with a Redfield 3x9 on it for $550 and one in 270 Win, w/o a scope, for $400. Both are built by Nikko, or something like that, in Japan.

Golden Eagles are an oddity in that the bolt locks up at the rear of the receiver. These rifles were made by the same folks who made up rifles for Weatherby a few years ago. The workmanship is pretty good. I picked one up in 375 years ago. I just liked the wood and the overall finish on mine was excellent.

Buddy of mine has owned one in 7RMag for quite a few years. A mite too highly polished for my tastes (I always worry about putting that first scratch on it ), but really well made, and highly accurate. He only uses 175 R-P factory ammo in it, and just loves it.
