9.3x74R Pressure standard
Does anyone know what the pressure level the 9.3x74R is rated for? I'd like to build a single shot on this cartridge but need the internal pressure peak for some calculations. Obviously it can be downloaded but I am interested in standard loads that would develop 9.3x62'ish velocities. My understanding is that the 74R can generate similar velocity at lower pressure than the 62mm version. Correct?

The 9.3x74R will operate at pressures of 42000cup. I don't know what the operating pressures of the 9.3x62 are in CUP. I know that they are held down because of the older Mauser 96's chambered in this round.

Modern rifles using good brass can far exceed the factory limits on 9.3x62; however, you cannot play this game with break action rifles.

You can find loads and pressure data at Hodgdon's web page. Kudude
