30 AR??
Has anyone done a 30 AR on a CZ527? Looks like it could be a nice lightweight deer rifle.

Why not just use the 7.62x39 CZ 527 as is?

The 30 AR is essentially a shortened then necked up to 30 caliber 284 case. More case capacity that the 7.62x39.
Being a fatter case it will not fit in the 527M magazine which is single stack. I just tried to load a 30AR in the 527M mag.
The 527m mag is .520 wide outside to outside. The 30 AR is .500 at the base.

Try to look unimportant. Your enemy might be low on ammo.

Thanks Doug. I guess I will stick with my ol' reliable 30-30.

Steph123 I have rebarreled several 527s to 6.5 Grendel. Makes an awesome little rifle. Lothar Walther makes barrels chambered & threaded in SS. Just headspace to your action & go shoot.
The 6.5 Grendel fits the magazine & feeds fine.

Doug thanks for that very useful bit of information. What kind of ballistics are you getting with the Grendel and what barrel length?

6.5 Grendel

Artical on the Grendel By Speedy Gonzalas

the 6.5 Makes a fine deer rifle.

BTW the three 527s that I have rebarreled to the Grendel were all so accurate it was scary.
3 shots into 1/2" @100yds.
