Obviously, you are NOT familiar with the U.S. Carbine, CAL .30 M2 .....

Umm, actually I own one.

I guess it is you who has no idea what the difference is between a "clip" and a "magazine". The M2 fires from either a 15 round or 30 round magazine.

For future reference, a clip is used to load magazines.

For hunting I don't want or need an autoloader. Almost everything is down and dead after the first shot anyway. I prefer single shots, the 99 or bolt actions.

But scopes add safety. It's safer when you can be sure of your target. In VT there is no hunter orange required and they wore green and black and now cammo! No thanks to irons for hunting.

The thought of a AR in the woods with irons gives me the creeps.

I, for the life of me, cannot understand why Pennsylvania has such a dumb fuck rule in their books.

Shit, Mass is more heavily populated, and you can load up your 1100 and let 'er rip at any deer you see.

Many states are as densly packed as PA, or more, and none have such a stupid regulation.

Orion,

I was on Martha Vineyard I. on opening day once. At legal light the three round volleys started. I had to lay down along a stone wall as the slugs were hitting the branches around me. I would never go back there.

Since many hunters don't know better we have laws like that and five shot or three shot rules as well.
