HunterJim308 Tikka,
I have been using the TuffPak for over 2 years now, and it does a great job for me. I usually travel with two long guns in the case, and I pack clothes around the soft gun cases, and have some packed items in the bottom and top of the case to keep the rifle cases from "baggage gorilla" damage.

bowhuntrrlI absolutely love my SKB. After going through several other cases over the years(killed by airlines), I finally bought an SKB double rifle case. There is absolutely nothing an airline can do to harm your rifles if they are in an SKB case !!!! It's made 5 trips out west and still has no battle scars to speak of. The hinges are still square and tight, and the latchs and locks still like new.

JB in SCI got the SKB, Americase, and TuffPak. While they are fine for casual airline travel, nothing can come close to the TuffPak. Get a couple of high end Boyt soft cases to stuff inside one, and you're ready for the Super Cub experience.
I'm sure the Pelicans are fine also, just never used them.

<OTTO>Stay the hell off the airlines! With all the trouble the airlines are giving their baggage handlers, It's a crap shoot that you will ever see you luggage again!
