Teat Hound.270 Win TBBC?
Anyone tried the 140gr .270 TBBC bullets on game yet? If so, any problems to report?

My wife and I have used the 165 TBBC in our 308's on multiple bobcats, coyotes, deer, and wild pigs with EXCELLENT results.
It is a great bullet.

i have only tried the 225-grain .338 TB. This is a great bullet, and very similar to the .225-grain A-Frame. Even though both bullets are of similar construction, I prefer that A-Frame because these are not as expensive.

friarmeierTH,
I shot a smaller doe whitetail @ 200 yards about 6 or 7 years ago (5?) with the 270/140 gr. TBBC (standard, not high vel load).
I hit it high in the lungs, just under the spine (broadside). The deer, to which my brother had already inflicted a leg wound, dropped at the shot.
The exit wound was only dime, maybe quarter sized, but this is not surprising considering that the bullet only passed through 6 or 8" of deer.
The best part of it all was that the load shot an honest 1/2" groups at 100 yards--and that with only a 1.75 x 5 power Bushnell off the roof of a pickup truck!

Good luck this fall!
