CZ Safari Classic in .338 Lapua
There have been some discussions on this board lately about various .338 calibers, so I thought that some of you might be interested to know that I just picked up a copy of CZ-USA's 08 product catalog and the Safari Classics are now offered in .338 Lapua and .338 Win. Mag. dancing

I realize that many companies offer the Win. Mag., but not many have a 5 round magazine capacity and and a set of good iron sights.

As far as I know(someone correct me if I'm wrong Wink) this is the only rifle currently offered in the Lapua that is actually a hunting rifle rather than a tactical/target style rifle.

As a .338 fan I think this is really cool, I just wish they were available in the less expensive Safari Magnum line Big Grin

Hello,
Ruger RSM's were once offered in their catalog, but have not actually seen one? Whether they actually produced any for public consumption or not , I do not know??

I,too, remember seeing a couple of ads for the Lapua in the RSM, and was seriously considering buying one, but never found one available. I don't know if they were ever actually produced, or if Ruger dropped the round before it ever saw the light of day.

Those are some great additions to the line. I always thought they needed a medium bore to bridge the gap between the 300 and 375 H&H mags. The Lapua should kick some serious butt in that rifle! PG beware! BOOM

I'm not sure I'd like to climb behind a .338 Lapua. That's a lot of rifle for just about anything you'd need to kill a kilometer away.
