IB404 is more flush than I am these days. If you were to do one of your functional/good looking stocks on it he would probably get on a plane to come over and fill out the adoption papers. Just another day of selling babies .

Maybe I can get the brass or loaded ammo for the 9.3 x70. My gunmaker has lots of the ammo
laying around. I would`n mind sending you a box or two. There are 10 rounds pr box.

Hey lawndart, if a guy was driving in owyhee county idaho, and came up behind a dark colored, small pickup, and was paying attention could he tell if it was you?

The clinchers would be the license plate that says "lwndart", the German Shorthair Pointer in the driver's lap with her head out the window, the bullet impact mark on the left rear of the box and the fact that the truck is going ten miles under the limit to make bird spotting easier .

Sometime around 10 or 11pm last Sunday night on Highway 95. We were on our way home from the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation show in Reno. Even though it was dark, you were still under the speed limit (or at least the our version of it), we passed you driving a gold colored suburban.

That was Lois (dark hair, biggish hooters), Magda the cat killer, Uschi the bouncy and me. We were on the way home from jack lighting, 'er I mean moving stuff to the new used house.

Looked like you guys made it to the state line from Reno on the four hour plan. IIRC, you passed us about the time we were starting around the bend to the north for the final stretch into Homedale (the ugly little town in a very beautiful valley). You crossed back to the right lane just about 6-9 yards into the (single) yellow. Lois remarked at the time that it looked like you had driven in heavy traffic in the past and knew how to pass efficiently. We don't see much of that around here. It's usually old farts like me poking along or all balls, dick and no fore head kids gunning their dually. The locals all swing too far to the left going by.

If you see me driving a new truck some day, you should flag me down. That would mean I have some money and could be talked out of a downstroke on a rifle .

If you like 9.3mm cartridges have you checked out the .366 DGW? 250 grain bullets at 3253 out of a 23.5" barrel and 300 grain slugs at around 2900 fps. It is on page 201 of the tenth edition of Cartridges of the World. on the left is a .308, in the center the .366 DGW on the right the .416 Rigby which it is based on.

Too much of a good thing for me.

What brand of scope bases and rings are those?

those look like Leupold QR's. You can see the lever pins from this view. I agree, very nice setup.

Well duh,

I only own two or three pair of those base/rings combos .
I don't see that stock splitting any time soon.

Those rings and bases went bad really quickly and no longer grace that rifle!!!! I will not use them again, the hole for the cross pin egged out in the rings and left the scope loose and the rifle shooting wild. At first I blamed my self but when a friend and customer could not shoot the rifle any better then I could things got changed. It really gets you when a rifle that is shooting under 1/2" at 100 yards little by little starts throwing shots. You blame your self at first but when you can do well with other rifles you start checking things. Well enough of that stuff. That rifle is a P-14 that I re worked and has been to Africa to test the cartridge twice, great action and good for the big cartridges.
