Re: 35 Whelen
Confirmed that it is in and will pick it up and, hopefully, blaze away a bit this weekend. Definitely excited. -WSJ

I used to have a Whelen, a Model 700 Classic. Loved the rifle. It was stolen in 1999.

I am truly sorry to hear of this. I have a Rem. 700 Classic in the Whelen, and I also love that gun. It would make me sick to loose it. It has a Burris 3x9 Compact scope on it, and is a very light and accurate hunting rifle.

Years ago I had a Remington 7600 in 35 Whelen with a 2X7 Burris Compact, marvellous gun, that I lent to my son (that he never bothered to return ). Now we get to argue who's is better, "his" 35 Whelen or my 338-06. Great cartridge and I've had more fun out of watching how much my son enjoys it.
