is the 06 more versatile than a 30x mag?

the question is, are the 30 cal magnums as versatile as the good old 06? everybody should have an 06, but if they have a 30 mag of some sort, do they still?

The 300 mag is more versatile than the 30-06.

The 550 Magnum is more versitle than both; only slightly less so than the 50 BMG.
