Renington seven carbine?
i just picked up a ss black synthetic stocked remington model seven in 7mm-08. the rifle has a 17" target crowned bbl. is this a factory bbl length?
its a nice little 36" package and handles like a dream. the crown is very well executed and the bbl is free floated.
no j lock and 2 position safet w/o and bolt lock.

I would feed it 140gr Ballistic Tips and Varget. Then go enjoy your fast handling, lite weight fun gun.

Congrats!

I think all the black "plastic" stainless Mod 7's had 20"bbls.
The earlier guns had 18"bbls.

The key is how does it shoot?

I really like the Mod 7's, my wife and I have used them in 223,243,308 and 350 RM.

All of them have shot great.

Nice looking rig.

I have never seen a Mod 7 that did not shoot very good.

I have shot several on paper to 300 yards and a few on paper to 600 yards, and one 308 to 800 yards on steel.

They are one of my favorite guns.

My wife and I have killed quite a few deer and pigs, a couple of bobcats and grey fox, and she a few antelope with them.

Also she killed quite a few prairie dogs with one in 223.
