jimatcateuro deer/ euro rifle....
went to camp wood this weekend to feed the axis that free range.... shot this yearling axis friday afternoon, about 70 yds, with a rifle i got here on AR.... its a Husquvarna Mauser, in 9.3x 57... i've had some bolt work done on it to clear the scope, and it wears an older steel weaver 2 3/4 power, with leupold QRW rings, on weaver bases... post reticle..and was shooting factory norma ammunition, 286 gr sp's...this rifle holds 5 down... i changed the safety to a position i got from brownells.... several other AR shooters have owned this rifle, and shot it at dangerous water jugs... i bloodied it for camp meat on this yearling....

ceweGreat caliber, I have one waiting for some modifications and a scope, then I´ll have the x57, x62 and x64.
Now I need a 9.3x63 (just a few out there) and the 9.3x70 and x74.
Love the 9.3s

Austin HunterAxis are now a free range species, along with several others, in the Texas Hill Country. They are considered an exotic by Texas Parks and Wildlife, so you can shoot them 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, with just a normal license. No tags.
