Looking for opinions on 200Gr load for 300 Win Mag in a 25.6" BBl. Looking at 7828SSC, H1000, Retumbos...others?

H4831, I'd start around 69-70 and try working up to 72 if possible. Probably be in the neighborhood of 2900 fps.

I use IMR4350 and can get 2995 FPS with Nosler 200 gr Partition. Witch is fast enought for me.

Nosler accubond 200 grain with 77 grains of H1000 seated to .020" back from the lands, makes for a long round but in my Sendero it will accomodate them in the magazine, I have not chronod this round but out of my rifles 26" barrel there seems no signs of pressure problems and accuracy is around the 5/8" Mark.

I have Retumbo which I am going to try soon with Berger 210 VLD, these bullets will be seated around .010 - .015 from the lands and will run with which ever of either Rel 22 or Retumbo gives the best accuracy, loads with Rel 22 will be in the 71 -72 grain range and for Retumbo around 77 grains.

All with W-W brass and Fed 210 GM primers, proceed with caution as all riifles are different and may max out below these figures.

It is very accurate in my A Bolt Browning.. much more accurate than the regular RL 22, RL 19, 4831 loads...

I went with Hodgdon's load data for a 200 gr. Partition,but substituted the Partition with a 200 gr. Accubond.The load is with 84 grs. Retumbo in Winchester brass.This is a very compressed load.I achieved 2964 fps. from a 24" Hart barrel.The accuracy is outstanding,often less than 1/2",three shot groups.I would also try H-1000,have had very good results with 168 TSX and 180 Partitions with this powder,so it should work fine with a 200 gr.

It isn't the fastest in my rifle but H-1000 max load per the Nosler manual, will shoot in the .5's and .6's in my rifle all the time. I think it is right around 2750 but I would have to check my notes.
