358 norma
I have been toying with the idea of building, a 358 norma for a wile. My question is dose any bodey shoot one, and how do they preform compared to a 338 win mag.

This is not a direct answer to your post. If I were going to build a medium bore I would build a .358 Norma or .358 STW. I have more experience with a .338 Win Mag than the .358 and doubt that difference is visible in the field. But, I prefer the bigger bore.

For plinking shoot .357 pistol bullets in the .358. Data is in the A-Square "Any Shot You Want" Maunal.

We have been beating this question to death.

I had a 338 sold it. I now shoot a 358 Norma. It is a Mannlicher and I get 250 factories at 2700. The 338 might shoot a little flatter and the 358 might hit a little harder. The 358 is almost a handload issue the 338 is pretty much easy to find anywhere. Like which is better the 338-06 or the 35 Whelen? Really too close to call a real winner for me.

As usual just my $.02

I thank yall for your input I have a 338 win mag that I like, I also have a 338 lapua that I built it has a 36 inch barel and is set up for long range shooting. The heaver bullets for the 358 norma mag for an up coming bear hunt is the main reason I am playing with the notion. Again thanks for your input.
