The reformed cases are boxer primed. Old ammo (WW II and GDR) is of course berdan primed.

By the way, one German dealer is now offering semi-automatized StGew 44. Not cheap, but legal.

Carcano - Will the new German ammunition for the Kurz be berdan or boxer primed?

Wow! An interesting report, Carcano. I think the 7.62x39 is the better or more versatile round of the two...but the little 7.92 would still be a lot of fun to play around with. I love messing with these little rifles. They are much more of a challenge that the .570 Loudenboomer Magnums. The Kurtz would make a great cast bullet gun as well.

I think you need to get one of some type and report back to us.
