reccommended twist rate for a 280 AI?

140-160 gr mono's.
Barnes makes a 175gr TSX that requires a 9" twist. I can't imagine why I would need that bullet (I own a '06 and 300 H&H).
This gun would hunt whitetail to elk.

9” is pretty standard for all 7mm cartridges. 9.5” is also common. I would go with 9”.

1-9 is fine but if your preferred barrel maker can do a 1-8, 1-8.5 or similar; that is what I would select.
