It was basically the all weather version of the Hunter Lightweight Rifle. Standard AV action. Made from 1986-1996
No grip swell or checkering built into the stock.
Blade ejector.
90 degree bolt lift.
Optilock mounts will work fine. They are very tough, and don't mar the scope. I do wish they were lower though.

tom ga hunteri have seen a few in pacific research rimrock stocks and my hunting partner has 1 with what appears to be a factoey syntecit stock.

Your rifle sounds like it will be the cat's ass over in the rain forest! I end up putting most of my Sako's in McMillan stocks sooner or later. Can't think of much else to do to them.
