Besides the Trinite finish on the XCR whats the difference between the two? I think the XCR is almost $200.00 more than the SPS,is the trinite finsh worth that much?

My cerakote treatment on my custom rifle was over $200. You could always buy some coating try it yourself.

This is only an opinion, but I think the XCR is well worth the extra money over the SPS.

I own two XCR rifles and have shot several other people's XCR and SPS rifles.

I think the XCR just seems better finished than the SPS. The actions are smoother, to be sure.
The SPS rifle can shoot, don't get me wrong, they just seem sort of "rough".

I much prefer the stock on the XCR. It is shaped better to me and I like the Hogue inspired grip panels where checkering is normally applied to a wood stock.

I especially like the new version of the XCR, named the XCR II. It has the same nytride finish, but it has been made black instead of gray somehow. It also has an appealing new green stock that looks better than the original black version.

I think the currently made Remingtons all have the "improved" version of the X Mark Pro trigger.

I like the XCR stock also, very comfortable to grip. I bought an extra one for my 700 classic in 375 h+h. It really makes the gun more comfortable to shoot.

XRC Tac Long Range seems like a winner too. Comes with a B & C stock as well. Of course you pay for it, but sounds like a nice rig.

How is the weight of the XCR II? Spec sheet says 7.34 lbs and a scope with rings and bases will be at least another pound. Anyone know if switching out the stock for a Bell & Carlson would increase or decrease the weight?
