I was taking to a local gunsmith yesterday about this rifle. He said all the ones he had seen had feeding problems, I'm not sure how many hes seen. I hated to hear this. Even though its a Remington , its got a 24" barrel and you can get it in .280. Anybody had any experience with this problem? Can it be fixed easily and affordably?

Is the problem, trying to get the rounds to chamber, if the magazine is full???
Mine new 700, had an exceptionally tight spring, that caused a terrible jam when cycling from a full mag.
I used 3 "dummy" rounds, empty cases, that I just left in there for a few weeks.
I also trimmed all the cases,...NO more problems....sakofan...hope this helps..
