BUXOMI called the Remington Custom Shop a short while back and asked them the same question. The guy I spoke to told me they were built on the same actions and barrels just like their other guns, the only difference being they put the barrels on at the Custom Shop instead of the main assembly line and the stock was a McMillan that was glassbedded by them at the Custom Shop. The action is NOT trued.

spiffWhoops, the dealer made me believe that it was a premium barrel and action, i.o.w. better quality. The price howewer was the same as a regular bdl so the stock alone will make it worth my buck`s ??

tom ga hunterthe barrel is a custom shop barrel they are produced on the regular remington equipment but turned, individually chameberd and lapped in the custom shop. i have 4 of them and they all are 1" ers but some of my regular bdls are and the rest are sold.. i think the ks in a good deal.the stock is a $300 mcmillana stock...the early 1's are a $500.00 brown precision stock..

dan belisleSpif, if you paid regular BDL price for a KS, you got one hell of a deal. - Dan

The bottom line is... If the rifle shoots good, and you like it, you got a good deal.
PS You do not have to pardon my Norwegian, cause I can't speak it.
