Svenskarsako model 85 accuracy
Does anyone have any experience with the new sako model 85 synthetic stainless for accuracy in 300 wsm?

Nitro_Andreasall sako`s are very accurate, even the cheaper synthetic version finnlight
you would not find any american mass produced rifle that could beat it...

but then again it is more costly.

I like my Sako but my ruger Remington larue (maybe not mass produced) outshoots it. My tikka outshoots it too.
But my left hand model 85 shoots far better than I do and is very well built. Its does great for hunting but I don't think it will shoot a 5 round moa.
I like my sako and looked at buying one in 375 H&H.

I have three Sako 85s and all shoot really well. A 308 Bavarian just makes a ragged hole at 100 yards. I think you will be pleased.

BiebsThe Bavarian is awesome, especially the little full-stock carbine.

308SakoWell, not this one unfortunately;
http://www.sako.fi/sako85models.php?varmintlamssBest I can do with it is about .8 MOA for 5 shot groups, even with the single set trigger. Mine is a 1 in 8 twist .223 Rem, and shooting Berger 75 VLD's or Sierra MK 69 or 77 grain bullets.

Hello
maybe I have some bias.... I own 6 sako..... from 22 lr to 338 WMG.... all are just as accurate as the shooter is.....
my last buy is a sako 85 Kodiak 338 MG... I was very disappointed after my first range session.... accuracy was not good at all.... flyers....I tried three different ammo brands.
after a bending and scope mount verification and few adjustement and 5 range session.... I was able to put 5 bullets touching at 110 yds. (I like number).
The sako 85 bending can be finicky... but barrel, action and trigger are top noch....
it's custom rifle quality if you ad a McMillan Stock as I did on my 7 RMG and 7/08. I'll do too with the 338 WMG.
When a sako is not shooting well it comes from the shooter more than the rifle...
I had trouble with my 22 finnfire varmint too. finicky with some ammo. Her match chamber doesn't get along with some HV. I worked on the bending and now it's the most accurate 22 I have ever own.

Try a flat base bullet.
My Tikka 243 win hated boat tail bullets.
Just a thought.

Wow we use to think that 1 MOA rifle was some thing to brag about.
Now we are complaining about a rifle the does only .8 MOA.
A little story I was out shooting a accurate 06 a .75 group rifle along side a savage 223 I fired the 223 5 shot group then the 06 5 shot group looked through the spotting scope.
Then said what is wrong with my 06 the group is huge.
Nothing was wrong the 06 was under .75 but the 223 group was under .375 making the side by side 06 group look big.
When one as a few sub .5 min rifles it is easy to get spoiled thinking all should do that.
Heck for big game out to 300 yards a 2 inch rifle is plenty.
I have killed several pickup loads of deer with my 2 inch model 99 savage.
For PDs my sub .75 22-250 hits them just as well as my sub .5 223. for out past 500 yards my sub .5 243 works better.

What a load of rubbish.
I have seen Remingtons, Rugers and Weatherby MK5s shoot ragged holes. There are of course always exceptions.
And those actions generally don't suffer the extraction problems the Sako 85 does
