Planning on a custom 9.3x62. What are the approx barrel dimensions of your CZ550 American's barrel dimensions.

I realize it's nearly 24". But what is muzzle dia? Any guess' on contour?

I'd guess #3 contour and about .650 at the 23.6 muzzle.

One thing for sure on this forum - if you invite guesses or speculation, that's what you'll get aplenty, often whether invited or not, and you won't really know any more for sure than before you asked the question.

Mine is .610 at the muzzel, 23 & 5/8 long. the threaded portion is about 5/8". The shank is 1.10", and about .850 long before tapering down.

CZ550FS has a .600" muzzle dia. with a 20 3/8" long barrel... Twist is around 1:13 1/2"..
I might add GSSP that after owning several short barreled rifles that I wouldn't go over 20" for barrel length in any caliber over .35 unless it was a single shot rifle.. Also I would shoot for a 7 1/2# total wt. ready to go scoped up..
