Try Cartridges of the World (COTW). (That 8X75RS is a very impressive round! A 198-grain bullet at 3050 FPS MV! With a Nosler Partition 200-grain bullet in it at that speed from a nice double rifle, it would work for anything in the world, short of maybe elephant!)

The pre-war announced velocity of the 8x75RS was a little optimistic, but with the 200grs Nosler Part. or the Blaser CDP you can really get 2850fps, the fabricloads are a bit softer. But it is a very impressive cartridge, I use it since nearly 20 years as my workingrifle ( a Blaser K77), but there are some disadvantages: the ammunition is very expensive and the recoil is - particular in the light K77 - very hard, it kicks like a muley!

Oh no, definitely not.
He should use the two German handbooks (the "blue" RUAG handbuch and the DEVA handbook) and be forever satisfied.
