Since the problem last year with bad barrel steel that has been resolved would anyone purchase one of these rifles?

Over the last 6 months or so I've taken on a Finnlight in 7mm-08. The design is good, it's accurate and balances well between the hands. All in all I think it's a fine rifle.

Sako built that reputation before Beretta got a hold of them. It's anyones guess as to what will happen now. That being said I have a fairly new Sako 75 (not a Finnlite) but it is a fine rifle that shoots very well.

That being so,I own a new 75 hunter in 300 Ultra and it's very nice. The fit and finish are nice the bluing is very nice and it shoots well I really could'nt ask for more. Yes they could change and go downhill I guess we will just have to wait and see.I truely hope they stay as they have. I'm a remington 700 fan (die hard) but have always liked Sako and I picked up this 75 Hunter for a song $650.00 plus tax new in the box I could'nt pass it up. I had a Vixen in 6MM PPC single shot when they first came out it was a tack driver, but times got bad and I was forced to let it go I could just kick my own A-- for ever selling it. Oh well we learn the hard way at times.

That's funny, mines a 300 ultra also. It's a stainless synthetic 75. I also got a good deal on mine as well 699.00 Do you load for yours? I have found that mine has an extremely long throat allowing me to load to a COL of 3.7" and still fit in the magazine with accubonds. I won't touch the lands until I get to around 3.8". I have talked to another poster on here with the same rifle and his is the same as mine with the long throat. Is your's the same? What are you best loads if you do load for it?

Yes I do handload for it and some 16 other calibers. I have done some load work with it with 165 gr. swift scirocco's and nosler B/T using RL-25 and H-1000 they where both seated to 3.720 OAL. They where just some test loads to see if it would shoot this com. well or not but that was as far as I got with it.Then I recieved my 475 Linebaugh barrel for my encore a 22 Cheetah on a 600 action, and another 358/300 ultra mag on a 700 action so things have backed up in load testing.
