R-WESTThat's the no-frills M70 they used to call the Ranger, isn't it? If you're sure of its history, check out some of the reams of load data available, and go to work.
If you're not sure of its background, have a competent smithy check it out for headspace, function, etc..,
then go to work.

cooterDid they offer those in 300 win mag? I thought they were 270/3006 only? Maybe it's a rechamber?
Or perhaps, as usual, my memory is faulty.

243winxbmmanincor, The model 670 was made around 1969,it is a redesign=cheaper version of the model 70. A model 70 cost $158. A model 670 cost $119. It was available in most all win. std. calibers, most were 243 or 30-06. Barrel lenghts came in 19" carbine, 22" and magnums 24" 243winxb.

J WisnerThe Win model 670 was made in 300 Win Mag.
However since the 670 had a birch stock, they did not hold up well to the recoil. Check the bedding of the action as most of them cracked and had to be glassbedded. I repaired my share of them years ago.
